Read an article on plane in a tromso magazine so decided to try mid way through our holiday and it was absolutely fantastic one of the best meals we’ve had for a while and loved the restaurant decor local beers etc. The dessert wasn’t up to the level of the mains but we let lack of substance of the dishes slide as the first two coarsest were so good! So we decided to book for our last evening of our holiday, well what a stark comparison! The food wasn’t a patch on the previous visit my partner had what I’d had before and vice versa, they weren’t any resemblance to the dishes we’d had just a few days earlier. Starters greasy and cold main course halibut well over cooked as if it was trying to disguise the fact it was going off! And absolutely no care went in to side dishes of potatoes and sprouts which cost £30. We didn’t bother with dessert after this shambles and went 5 minutes walk down the road to Burger King which is where I’d wished we went in the first place! The head chef was not present on the first visit but was on the second, he didn’t look like he did in the magazine I’d read on the plane he was unshaven scruffy an resembled someone who had just climbed out of a hedge! And a little tip if your working in an open plan kitchen where the customers can see you don’t stand around showing more interest in your phone and eating your dinner than you do in the paying customers.
