I did some research ahead of our trip and was excited to try this German restaurant. My husband served in the military many years ago and was stationed in Germany and would always talk about the great food so we had to do. It is a small little place but felt very welcoming and we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We started with calamari but were concerned that we wouldn't like the dipping sauce that came with it as it wasn't the traditional marinara sauce. The manager was very accomodating and brought us a sample of the sauce to taste, which was yummy and made in-house. The calamari itself was light and tender, one of the better calamari appetizers we have had. A winner appetizer for us. My husband ordered the chicken jager, which was a huge pice of lightly fried chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce on top, fries, and the most delicious grilled vegetables as a side (wish we would have ordered an extra side of these). He enjoyed it but it was a lot of food. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was also a very large portion that came with fries. The fries were delicious as they should be in a classic German restaurant like this. It was a lovely meal and there were many locals and regulars dining here. This is a great restaurant to try if you have never had German food.
