Sobre Dishes of India

As much as we're tempted to, it would be wrong to keep Dishes of India (DoI) a secret and moreover, not support them with a top rating they earned throughout every moment of our meal. They're tucked away in a strip mall that has very little appeal and when you walk in, you're greeted by a staircase which takes you downstairs to this seriously wonderful food destination. If aesthetics are important to you, this is not where you want to go. However, it's clean and kept in order. Tables are close, therefore difficult not to have threads of other tables wisking through your conversation yet they've created a welcoming environment for all. The service, (and we've been to places like The Inn at Little Washington), is as good as a Michelin star with genuine warmth and care. Their team focuses on making every table feel valued; this alone was worth the cost! But people...THE FOOD!!!!! Not only was every dish we had delightful but we found ourselves wanting every dish brought out to other customers during our time. They feature all the authentic Indian spices you love but here's where they shined; each of us were able to order at the spice level we preferred. Oftentimes, at other restaurants dishes are made in batches and you either eat the dish with intense spice or you pass. No need at DoI, tailored to your taste and bite by bite, you're enthralled with some of the best Indian food we've had!!! A hidden gem which answers our Indian cuisine need locally. A huge thank you to the entire team at Dishes of India!!!
