Sobre Copacabana Beach and Leme Beach
This is the most iconic beach in Brazil and the world. Its beautiful shore, waters of greenish tones, give the face of one of the postcards of the city of our country. Copacabana beach reflects the Carioca way of life, with lots of animation, always busy, natural beauties, people running and playing sports and, of course, the iconic boardwalk with white and black stones simulating waves. There are always stalls and street vendors around here that offer the traditional GLOBO polvinho biscuit and a nice glass of iced mate. Take the opportunity to discover the Copacabana Fort (where the Army Historical Museum is located) and the statue of Carlos Drummond de Andrade (post 6), taking the opportunity to stop by the Confeitaria Colombo, which has a unit here overlooking the sea.
Among the various posts where the beach is divided, the region called Praia do Leme is one of the quietest, good for more peace - there, Pedra do Leme offers a spectacular view of the shore. Posto 2, opposite Copacabana Palace, is the most crowded on the beach. Stations 3, 4 and 5 are a little quieter than 2.
Attention: as it is a tourist site, pay close attention to your belongings and the occurrence of theft in the region.
