Sobre Sesc Paraty
Paraty is a municipality located on the coastal strip between the state of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro that has the largest coverage of Atlantic Forest in the Southeast Region. It is in this scenario that Sesc started, in 2012, a permanent work with the intention of making the place a Reference Pole in the area of culture, offering activities in the most diverse languages and projects to encourage local artistic production.
Sesc Paraty's main objective is to develop studies, research and experiences for the technical foundation of the institution's work in the areas of promotion of Culture, with emphasis on the preservation of the Architectural and Intangible Heritage of the city of Paraty, in addition to promoting access to the various forms of artistic expressions in the territory.
The space installed in a beautiful mansion is a charm on its own and has different artistic manifestations such as theater, shows, dance, music, visual arts and, of course, literature, in addition to hosting temporary exhibitions, exhibitions, film shows and much more, the most activities are free!
